- Largest Cherry Pie in the World was baked in BC! The BC Cherry Pie was 17 tonnes!

"Members of the Oliver Rotary Club, British Columbia, Canada, baked a cherry pie weighing 17.11 tonnes (37,721 lb) in Oliver, British Columbia, on 14 July 1990."

 

 

"A lemon meringue pie weighing 1.3 tonnes (2,866 lb) was made by 20 students from Clarendon College, Nottingham, UK, on 4 June 1998."

 "El Paso Diablos Baseball Club, Texas, USA made a pecan pie weighing 18.863 tonnes (41,586 lb) at Cohen Stadium, El Paso, Texas on 22 May 1999." 

 

 

Also noteworthy... "The most expensive pie cost customers to the Fence Gate Inn, Lancashire, UK £8,195 (then $14,260) or £1,024 (then $1,781) per slice when ordered by eight guests"

and "The most expensive pie sold at auction was bought for $3,100.00 (£1,994.54) by Jerry Mumma (USA), in Rich Hill, Missouri, USA, on 6 July 2012."
