ICYMI, an article from the Times and Transcript about Moncton city council holding a public hearing on October 7th... this concerns Youth Impact and their hope to rezone a property on Lefurgey Avenue from a two-unit dwelling to a multiple-unit (apartment) building... my paraphrase: there's a need for more housing and it would help Youth Impact provide services for more youth.

Also from the Times and Transcript... an article about how some downtown businesses have been doing since the City installed security cameras on St. George Street last year... my paraphrase: business owners say problems have only gotten worse... crime and the homelessness problem in Moncton is impacting business... business owners in the article call for affordable housing and mental health care initiatives as possible better solutions.

ICYMI, article from the CBC about a letter that went out to families of Harrison Trimble High School and Edith Cavell school... the letter talked about social media posts and vulnerable members of the community seeking shelter in school doorways... the district has hired security for both schools, Monday to Friday from 7a to 7p.
