❿ French museum invites visitors to view its naturism exhibit in the nude
• Marseille's Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations is inviting visitors to view its Naturist Paradises exhibit in the nude on designated dates.
• The exhibit features hundreds of pieces of art from naturist communities, including paintings, sculptures, photographs and films.
❾ Red pepper spill on California highway leads to bee rescue
• A semi truck overturned on Highway 101 in California, spilling its load of red peppers and damaging a signpost that contained a massive bee hive.
• Robert Dias from Swarm Catchers safely gathered the bees for relocation using a special vacuum.
❽ Museum invites back 4-year-old who broke 3,500-year-old jar
• A 4-year-old boy accidentally broke a 3,500-year-old jar while visiting the Hecht Museum in Haifa, Israel.
• The jar, which was not encased in glass, was designed to carry goods like olive oil and wine and predated King Solomon and King David.
• Despite the damage, the museum said the jar could be restored and invited the child and family back for an organized tour.
❼ World's oldest cognac from 1696 confirmed in Netherlands
• A 328-year-old bottle of cognac belonging to a collector in the Netherlands has been officially recognized as the world's oldest cognac by Guinness World Records.
• Previously, the oldest kown cognac was a 1762 Cognac from Gautier, with only three remaining bottles, one of which was sold at auction for $146,000 in 2020.
❻ Rescued "Injured" Bald Eagle in Missouri Was "Too Fat to Fly" After Eating Raccoon
• A bald eagle rescued from Wilson's Creek National Battlefield in Missouri was found to be "too fat to fly" after consuming a large raccoon.
• The eagle underwent rehabilitation and was released back into the park.
❺ Riders stranded 243 feet up on Six Flags attraction during storm
• Riders on the Supergirl Sky Flight ride at Six Flags Mexico were stranded 243 feet in the air for about 10 minutes during a storm last week.
• The ride ceased operation due to heavy rain and winds, but all passengers were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
❹ Man builds 54-level house of cards in 8 hours
• Bryan Berg, a trained architect and card-stacking expert, broke the Guinness World Record by creating a 54-level house of cards in just 8 hours.
• Berg, who did not use glue or any other form of extra support, also holds the overall record for the tallest playing card structure at 25 feet and 9 inches since 2007.
❸ Connecticut woman sets world records for most tattoos and body modifications
• Esperance Lumineska Fuerzina, 36, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, has 99.98% of her body covered in tattoos and 89 body modifications, earning her two Guinness World Records.
• She has 40 more body modifications than the previous record holder and plans to continue modifying her body.
❷ Three escaped bison return to Connecticut farm, bringing a newborn baby
• Three bison that escaped from a Connecticut farm earlier in the week returned on their own, accompanied by a newborn baby bison.
• The Guilford Police Department celebrated the bison's return in a humorous Facebook post, highlighting their adventures and reminding everyone that buffaloes have the right of way at intersections.
🍅 North Carolina eateries engage in a light-hearted "sign war" that involves dozens of businesses
• A playful exchange of messages on signs between two North Carolina restaurants, Ioanni's Grill & Bar and Dank Burrito, has escalated into a full-fledged "sign war" involving dozens of neighboring businesses.
• The witty banter started with Ioanni's displaying a "Happy birthday Jeff" message for a month, prompting Dank Burrito to accuse them of being lazy and not changing their sign.
• Other businesses joined in, adding humorous remarks to their own signs, and locals have been following the "sign war" on a dedicated Facebook group.
