Notes:
- Happened at the Clearview Mall in Pennsylvania.
- police caught the suspects, charges are expected.
- 2 ppl stole a giant foam carrot and a piñata from a mall Easter display.
- Sweet Lord, when the suspects took off a security guard got dragged by the getaway truck for a quarter mile.
- no one was hurt.
- police located the large carrot and Easter pinata at a home.
- Hollywood treatment please.

Notes:
- Colorado man is oldest person to cross the Grand Canyon.
- the guy is 91 years old.
- it's around 24 miles to hike from one edge of the Grand Canyon down through to the other edge.
- took 5 days.
- Did I mention he was 91? Because he was 91!

❿Headline from April 7th, 2023: How Young is the world's youngest published author?
Notes:
- Child publishes book; all unpublished authors who are older than 4 are failures...
- A boy from United Arab Emirates who's 4 years and 218 days old has published a book called "The Elephant Saeed and the Bear" and that is super young to become a published author.
- book is about kindness and an elephant... and a polar bear.
- to be an official Guinness record you have to sell at least a thousand copies, which this book has done.
- Just to recap, those of us 5 years old or older, have failed in this specific literary endeavor.

❿Headline from April 14th, 2023: How short is Pearl, the Chihuahua is shortest dog in the world?
Notes:
- from the ground up, Pearl the pooch is 3.59 inches tall.
- a little bit taller than three quarters, or half a one dollar bill, or a credit card.
- Also helpful... a can of soup is taller than this pooch.
- Pearl is also about as long as a dollar bill (5 inches)
- weighs a little bit more than a pound.

❿Headline from Aril 28th, 2023: Nudists will feel naked and exposed if Cable Car over nude beach goes ahead...
Notes:
- in Vienna, there's a plan for a cable car route which would pass over a beach frequented by nudists... this is getting some push back by nudists...
- a nudist named Barbara is quoted in the story - "'I don’t want to end up on the internet,' the 72-year-old told reporters."
- the developer says A) the cable car will pass over the beach for hardly any time at all, and B) the cable car windows could be the kind that switch to non-see-through when the cable car gets close to the beach.
- not much more to that story yet... I would say wait and see... don't panic, nudists... keep your shirt on...

❿Headline from May 5th, 2023: Freaky Foot World Record *Do Not Attempt!
Notes:
- a lady named Kelsey has set a Guinness World Record for her freaky footwork where, basically, she can point one foot frontwards and the other foot backwards.
- Kelsey is a librarian from New Mexico and her official record is "most foot rotation (female)".
- Get this! She discovered this world record ability at her library when the new Guinness Book came out and she was flipping through... she saw the foot record in there, tried to beat it, and did!!
- quote from the story: “Most people are grossed out and fascinated at the same time.”

❿From May 12th, 2023: How Excited are you about Printed Fish!?
Notes:
- a company in Israel has 3D printed fish...
- it's not meal-ready... it's a ready-to-cook fish fillet... 
- they start with a lab-grown grouper fish base and that becomes some kind of edible filament for a 3D food printer... (oversimplification alert).
- this lab-grown, printable fish might save the environment/ real fish/ all of us (like lab beef and chicken) 
- they hope it'll be available for purchase next year...  
- it looks like white goo... but if it tastes good and they can get the cost down, maybe it'll save us from ourselves... 
- article doesn't ask any fishers what they think about this whole thing... 

❿From May 19th, 2023: The Gator that fooled us all...
- happened on Treasure Island on the Gulf Coast
- police on night beach patrol were surprised by a tricky gator...
- from their Facebook post "“Look at the size of that gator one of our officers tried rounding up on Treasure Island Beach last night!”
- it was an incredibly realistic sand sculpture.
* UPDATE: Does not hold up! I can't believe this made our weird news podcast. You've seen weirder stuff on the drive to work this morning probably! I give this one a failing grade!!

❿From May 26th, 2023: People reminded to wear clothes for Driver's License photo in Georgia*
- now in the state of Georgia (USA) you can get a digital driver's license or digital ID.
- part of the apply process is that you send them a photo...
- the Georgia Department of Driver Services  posted this note on their Facebook the other day: "👀Attention, lovely people of the digital era! Please take pictures with your clothes on when submitting them for your Digital Driver’s License and IDs. 🫣Let's raise our virtual glasses and toast to the future🥂😄 Cheers to technology and keeping things classy! 🤭#ddscares"
